Art Studio Show

I find myself in the unfortunate predicament of not knowing very much about any of these bands.  That is not to say that I am not interested in finding out.  I have previous plans to go out of town this weekend, but if those fall through, then I'll see you out there with a 12 pack and pall mall lights.  Be sure to thank Ben Jennings and all the others involved in these monthly shows at The Art Studio.

I saw this on Vice Magazine's website in the music reviews section today...surprisingly it received a smiley face instead of a throw up face.  The same could not be said for Scarface and The Hold Steady.  Use the link to see the original article - I reproduced it as best I could, however, I could not directly copy and paste it so I took a few liberties in PAINT to reproduce it.  Enjoy!!!

So the US lost on what I can only call a bullshit goal in overtime...let's blame it on Clark's mental collapse in the fifth minute though.  I had a good time at Calder for CASA!  Took at least a two hour lunch break...long game.  I'll be at work until 7PM, but when I get off you can be damn sure that I'll be at the Art Studio getting full of BYOB beer and GOOD music.  I love gonzo.  Haven't yet seen Hello Chief thanks to the US soccer team and Glitch Mob.  Big fan of Carlo and Greg. Not familiar with the other bands, but I've heard good things about Smiley.  Sleepwalking is warming up the crowd tonight...get there early and stay late.  BYOB! What else do you need? I wish I could throw BYOB shows.  Support the Art Studio as they have supported bands for as long as I can remember.  Big ups to Ben Jennings for another great showing.  Don't forget about the FREE show Tuesday at Star Bar - Follow That Bird from ATX. Viva Espana en Copa del Mundo!  Enjoy your day...I have at least three more hours at work a little drunk.
